WHY are you motivated to support/develop this work?

  • Do you endorse open source culture?

Absolutely, beyond just enabling creativity and collaboration I think open source is humanities best hope yet for reducing living standard inequality.

  • Why are you interested in collaborating with us?

I would like to collaborate with you for a number of reasons. I think that the project is extremely important and once it is realized, it will have a profound impact on humanity. I have many skills which I can contribute to making the goal of this project a reality. Finally, I am a fast learner and I would like to improve my own skills by helping on the farm.

  • How do you think that the GVCS can address pressing world issues?

The GVCS will solve or at the very least make great inroads on many of the biggest problems facing the world today. It has the capacity to reduce poverty and allow for greater opportunity for more people. By utilizing local resources it will reduce the strain on those in pristine environments. Further it will raise the standard of living of those in the third world; which should lead to a stabilization in population growth.

  • What should happen so that you become more involved with the project?

Put a roof over my head and I will be there. Each summer I get laid off for four months from my job. Normally I get a summer job or visit family; however I would like to volunteer to help with the project if I can.

  • What are you missing in the project?

I would like to know a little more about what life is like on the farm. How many people are currently working there and what projects are currently underway?

  • What are your suggestions for improvement of the project?

The current GVCS will not work as well in desert environments or where wells are not possible. The addition of an atmospheric water generator should be considered.
The addition of some sort of compact greenhouse might be useful in existing suburban communities.

  • How have you already contributed to the project?

Besides becoming a True Fan, I have not.

HOW can you help?

  • How are you interested in contributing to the work of GVCS development?

I would like to go to Factor E Farm and help directly with the construction of the GVCS. Alternately I could support the farm infrastructure or do both.

  • Can you volunteer to work with us, and if so, how many hours per week?

Yes, full time.

  • Are you interested in working with us for pay? If so, what services can you offer, and what is your hourly or per-project rate?

Sure, but I will also work for food and a place to stay. I can work in any of the fields in the above skills section. I currently make $9/hour as a custodian, so about there would be fine.

I am, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to lead one right away. I would prefer to come and help with one before starting my own.

  • Are you interested in purchasing equipment from us to help bootstrap development?

Possibly, but only once the GVCS is complete.

  • Are you interested in bidding for consulting/design/prototyping work?

Not at this time.

Yes as of three days ago :)

  • Would you like to see yourself working with us on a full-time basis?

Yes

  • Are you interested in using the technologies that we are developing directly?

Absolutely

  • Are you interested in being part of the world's first, open source, resilient community? The GVCS is the preparatory step for the OSE Village Experiment - a 2 year, immersion experiment (2013-2014) for testing whether a real, thriving, modern-day prototype community of 200 people can be built on 200 acres using local resources and open access to information? We are looking for approximately 200 people to fill a diverse array of roles, according to the Social Contract that is being developed. This may be the boldest social experiment on earth - a pioneering community whose goal is to extend the index of possibilities regarding harmonious existence of humans, ecology, and technology - as a beacon of light to benefit of all people on Earth.

Yes definitely! It would be an honor to be a part of such a project.
