The business plan for distributed manufacturing of OSE's machines has the potential to distribute production widely. This is done by providing high quality blueprints, and turnkey procedures for taking those blueprints to execute a machine build. One specific audience for this is individuals who want to get a machine built locally and immediately - who are not willing to wait or travel to an OSE Extreme Manufacturing workshop. Such a machine may be built in the most turn-key fashion when these blueprints are taken to a local fabrication shop for production - such as custom metal fabrication shops - of which there are tens of thousands around the globe.

All of these instructions will be provided in the form of a self-contained PDF manual that an individual can print out. This manual will have the blueprints, sourcing information, CAM files, detailed build instructions, and all supporting build information. The focus will be on a specific build version and a highly replicable build process from common, off-the-shelf parts that can be ordered on places like Amazon or obtained locally from hardware stores. We are providing very specific instructions - not merely 'design guides' with ambiguous sourcing such as finding parts in a junkyard on a hit-or-miss basis - though this is always an option if one is looking to reduce the cost.

We are interested in determining whether this type of enterprise, which can be turned into a Distributive Enterprise, can result in Distributed Market Domination. Distributed Market Domination is when an open source product takes a majority market share in a given sector because of its favorable properties - such that a large number of market players is involved in production - as opposed to monopolies.
