Introduction

OSE is beginning its immersion training program for August 25-September 29, 2018. The goal is to train 6 successful entrepreneurs - OSE Fellows - for full-time engagement on OSE enterprise. The revenue model for Fellows is running Extreme Manufacturing workshops. We start with the Personal Microfactory, which in itself can produce both the microfactory tools themselves and their products.

The challenge with any organization is scaling. There is a big difference between a small owner-operated business, which OSE and OBI have been to date - and scalable enterprises that produce a significant impact on the world - such as Wikipedia or Linux Foundation.

There are several requirements that OSE has set for itself regarding scaling:

  1. Achieving the Tipping Point towards the open source economy
  2. Doing so ethically - creating an ethical economy
  3. Doing so with logos, pathos, ethos - ie, we are lifestyle investors who aim to avoid corruption by design
  4. Allowing for on-demand scalability via large size of market sectors that are chosen as enterprises

Growing Pains

Any organization that grows rapidly has signifi
