Self-Determination

Self-determination is the latest theory of human motivation as of 2020. This theory states that it is not an external reward that drives people, but more subtle internal needs of autonomy, mastery, and purpose. This follows Maslow's Pyramid as the upper rung, once basic needs have been met - so that people can achieve enlightnement. Once enlightenment is achieved, then the index of possibilities for individual increases - towards self-determination and freedom in balance with natural life support systems that include materials and energy.
