Intro

An open source ecologist is a person versed in the theory and practice of Open Source Ecology. This means that they are able to engage in collaborative design for a transparent and inclusive economy of abundance, as movement entrepreneurs who engage in Open Source Product Development for solving Pressing World Issues. In 2022, OSE is beginning to develop an 8 year immersion program to train the first cohort of open source ecologists.

The requirements for the skill set of an open source ecologist revolve around the value proposition of creating an efficient economy, one that does not leave some humans and most of nature behind. To achieve this, we follow the OSE 3 Step Process.

First and foremost, an open source ecologist is a person who integrates knowledge by interdisciplinary, systems thinking, crossing boundaries, and living at the edge where all action happens. The open source ecologist - a man of knowledge - expects and acts to make himself understood. As such, their priority is to make their knowledge and work understandable to the greater world, for the purpose of standing on teh shoulders of giants.

The open source ecologist is a specialist whose work centers around making their work understandable by others, contributing to all knowledge being understood by everyone.
