Connie Ballew has more than a decade of experience in human resources, including: recruiting, training, performance management, career development, diversity program development, policy development, employee relations, benefits, union negotiations, human resources information systems, compensation, payroll, safety, F&B/Nightlife operations and compliance. That’s a lot of knowledge in one smart, funny and soulful package.

Recently, Ballew was the Director of Human Resources at SLS Las Vegas which features a collection of award-winning dining and nightlife brands bringing renewed energy to the North end of the Strip. With an unparalleled passion and drive for others to succeed, she led one of the most progressive HR departments in Las Vegas. Prior to her role at SLS Las Vegas, Connie held the position of HR Operations Manager at XS and Tryst Nightclubs. During her tenure, she was integral in the effort to ensure the team at the world’s top nightlife venues were completely supported, while helping management operate as efficiently and productively as possible.

Before joining Wynn nightlife, Ballew worked for more than five years in several HR capacities at Wynn resorts, developing her skill set in numerous areas of operation while excelling in roles within the food and beverage department. She has approached all of her opportunities with the spirit of teaching, a touch of swagger, loads of optimism and always as a procedural tactician. Connie now resides in the culturally rich East Side of Austin where she enjoys good food, mixology and the occasional nightlife outing.

Her professional accolades include being a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR- HRCI), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and active member of Society for Human Resources Management.
