  • 8bit works for many applications, and is cheaper
  • 32 bit can proccess more at once, and process faster
  • Main use cases are higher speed machines (accelerations, more complex paths etc), and more independant steppers/servos
  • More steps movement, especially at the same speed Microstepping can lead to missed steps
