8 bit vs 32 bit Boards for CNC Application
Basics
- 8bit works for many applications, and is cheaper
- 32 bit can proccess more at once, and process faster
- Main use cases are higher speed machines (accelerations, more complex paths etc), and more independant steppers/servos
- More steps movement, especially at the same speed Microstepping can lead to missed steps
- Case dependant in the end
