Brad and OSE Certified Organizations

From Open Source Ecology

To Brad: June 2023 There are currently no OSE Certified organizations. If you are interested, the start is simple: send me a 1 page summary of what you are proposing in terms of an allied distributive enterprise and we can see how that would fit with the OSE Vision, mission, and strategy. It should not be software-only as OSE's mission is not to develop software - though we do develop supporting software for hardware projects (such as Design Workbenches in FreeCAD for things that are actually built). But notice that for the design to be any useful, it must come from an integrated design-build operation (the internet is rich with not useful design). OSE rolls as a design-build org - that's what makes our stuff relevant. Translated simply - fiscal sponsorship would definitely work on our side if you are interested in creating a design-build org. This integration is core to our mission and that's why we have Ecology in our org name. Read the article on Economy of Integration (the opposite of Economy of Scale). FreeCAD thus may clearly be the substance around which an allied nonprofit is built, and we can definitely consider fiscal sponsorship. We would have to address the additional reporting requirements of fiscal sponsorship too. MJ
