2. Are you over the age of 18? (affirm yes or no)

Yes

3. When would you be available for a Dedicated Project Visit and for what duration?

I'm available from November 1st for as long as possible (if my work match with yours needs and if immigration allows me to stay)

edit (10/23 2013) : a little health problem forces me to have to delay my trip to the farm. I have to fix my health problem before to think again about my DVP.
I have to be patient... and I hope that I will be able to come in USA for the hackathon (and I hope come again for may 2014 with a DVP)
See you soon,

Script

(1) Name and country where you are located, Hi, my name is Cyril Libert. I live in Valenciennes, France.

(2) why you are interested in applying; I'm working on the velocar project and I believe the work environment wich Open Source Ecology offers is ideal to take the project to the next level.

(3) what you would like to contribute to our effort and relevant skill set that will help you do that; I would like work on the micro car CAD, and other OSE projects. I'm a mechanical CAD engineer. I want to improve my skills and learn new ones, doing so, I could help the organization on different levels such as production.

(4) what are you hoping to get out of your visit? Make the january OSE microcar event a success => manufacture a complete prototype for this event.

Video

Please upload this video to a public video sharing site such as YouTube or OpenPhoto.

Is it ok if I make this video later?

7. Are you willing to publish all the results of your work openly according to the OSE Open IP Guidelines?

Yes

8. Do you have resources to support yourself while volunteering with us?

Yes, I can support myself for roughly 2 months if accomodation is provided. In all cases, my tourist visa will not allow me to stay more than 3 months.

9. Do you have sample work that you could upload and/or share via email? (ie. projects, designs, technical writing, graphic designs, videos, etc).

Every day, I'm working on Catia V5 for the NAT project for Bombardier.

10. Are there skills/expertise you hope to gain while a DPV at FeF?

I'm curently improving and gaining skills by working on velocar project. On one hand, I can use my mechanical design education to discover and adapt myself in new technical fields (manufacturing, welding, and so on...). On the other hand, I'm hoping to learn more about economically viable open source project management. Finaly, working with you, my english proficiency will improve.

11. Please provide three (3) references (professional or educational). Contact information for references can be uploaded with the application, resume, or emailed directly to info@opensourceecology.org.

  • Bombardier : André Lecoeuvre - Integration and wiring teams manager for the NAT project. My current head and customer. (I send you his phone number by email)

12. How did you hear about OSE and the DPV opportunity?

I've been following the OSE project for many months. DPV opportunity is in my opinion the best way to shape my personnal project, open source phylosophy in real life.

13. Do you have any other concerns or considerations? (May be emailed separately)

I'm not sure about the tourist visa status. Have you already welcomed foreigners? What type of visa did they have?
