DOCUMENTATION - STEP INSTRUCTIONS


26 – Dozuki/Development Board Setup discussion

Meeting – NO STEP INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED


28 – Create Infographic/Upload to Dozuki

1. Identify the graphic designer (GD) in collaboration with Lead Graphic Designer

2. Deliver available reference visuals to GD. Includes photos of earlier versions or equivalent machines, concept drawings and/or Sketchup files.

3. Collaborate with PL and ED to determine key focus points and text to include in Infographic.

4. Review first draft of infographic with PL and ED and give notes to GD.

5. Review final infographic with PL and ED

6. Upload approved Infographic to Machine “Development/Infographic” page in Dozuki. Include as Icon and in body of text.


73 – ID Triggers for script/shot list from Work Instructions

1. Review Step Instructions and determine documentation points and compile Shot List

2. Review Shot List with PL and DPVs for approval.

3. Plan documentation video and still photo shoot with PL and DPVs


94 – OM/PL/DM discuss video strategy and documentation deliverables

1. Discussion results documented in Production Plan wiki page.


95 – Photo with Build Participants

1. Still photos with entire team shot and posted on Trovebox


97 – Compile and copy video and photos for DM for Backup and delivery to assistant editors

1. DM organizes hard drives for video and creates photo albums in Trovebox

2. DAILY during shoots video camera cards, video tapes and still photo cards delivered to DM.

3. DM and Assistant Editors copy video cards to two hard drives and video tapes to one drive and upload all to Latakoo if the internet allows it. All files are labeled with the Machine code and sequential numbers. Cards are then erased for re-use.

4. DM and Assistant Editors copy still photo cards to one hard drive and upload to appropriate album in Trovebox. Also labeled with Machine code and sequential numbers. Cards then erased for re-use.


98 – Send material to remote tape loggers

1. DM or Assistant Editors send email to remote loggers alerting them to location in Latakoo and Trovebox.


99 – Organize material in stock footage library COMBINE WITH STEP 100

1. Remote loggers log and label material and organize into appropriate locations on Latakoo and Trovebox. (If no remote loggers DM and Assistant Editors complete these steps)

2. Logs appears in the Notes section of Latakoo and Trovebox


101 – 3rd Parties Use Footage

1. DM approves requests from 3rd Parties and gives them appropriate access on Latakoo and Trovebox.


102 – Develop Scripts

1. DM works with remote Script Writers, OM and PL to develop and write scripts for various videos and instructionals.

2. Scripts posted in Google Docs for review by DM, OM and PL.

3. Scripts revised by Script Writers.

4. Scripts posted for editors.


103 – Edit Stock Video

1. Remote editors download footage and stills from Latakoo and Trovebox.

2. Remote editors access scripts in Google Docs.

3. DM reviews plan with Remote editors.

4. Remote editors post Rough Cut in Latakoo

5. DM reviews and gives notes.

6. Editor makes fixes.


104 – Add music from library and composers. ****NOTE: NEED TO CREATE LOCATION FOR MUSIC LIBRARY

1. Editor incorporates the music during the editing process.

2. Composer accessing video during editing process on Latakoo and posting in Music Library for use by the editor.


105 - Graphics development

1. Graphic Designer coordinates with DM and editor to determine graphics needed.

2. Graphic Designer accessing video during editing process on Latakoo and posting in Music Library for use by the editor.

3. Editor incorporates the graphics during the editing process


106 – Email VO to DM

NO STEP INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED.


107 - Record VO following video script

1. ED records VO on computer or in Voicover studio if appropriate.

2. DM supervises recording session

3. VO file uploaded to DM and editor for incorporating into video


108 – Edit video into films COMBINE WITH 109 films for documetary series and promo films for fans and funders

1. Editor incorporates all notes with music, graphics and VO to complete video.

2. Final video posted on Latakoo for distribution as appropriate


110 – Assign Team to Instructional Documentation Tasks

111 – Create Dozuki Instruction Manual

1. Break down steps according to Work Instructions

2. Write simple, clear text to explain each step in collaboration with Tech Writers, PL, DPVs and DM

3. Match Still Photos, Sketchup, Graphics and Video to each step.

4. Incorporate above into Dozuki assembly guides.


112 – Review Dozuki Manuals

1. Tech Writers, PL, DPVs and DM review and make notes

2. DM makes fixes.


113 – Develop "How To" Instructional Videos

1. Scripts for Videos determined by Dozuki Manual.

2. REPEAT STEPS 102 TO 109 FOR INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS


114 – QA Instructional Videos

1. Tech Writers, PL, DPVs and DM review and make notes

2. DM and editors makes fixes.


115 – Publish Dozuki Manuals

1. One click process with the Dozuki app.
