We are currently developing HydraFabber for rapid prototyping. Leo Dearden is developing a kinematic mount for tool interchangeability between router, laser diode, and 3D printer. Jeff Moe of Lulzbot is being consulted on the approach of mouning the Open Source Spindle onto Lulzbot to complete the router part of the project.

Needs:

  1. Software toolchain for router. Can RAMPS operate 3 programs at a time for the 3 different heads - and how to do this?
  2. Functional diagram for a RAMPS-Lulzbot-based system.
  3. Design of scalable RAMPS-Power Stage of controller for multiple purposes. Generalization to operation of any power of stepper (ie, heavy duty CNC mill, CNC torch table, Hydrafabber)
  4. Sourcing spare Lulzbot parts to build out a smaller version of Lulzbot. Needs to address vertical printing. Reduce print size by factor of 4 to allow for 100x100x200mm printing. Quick coupler between vertical stage and xy platform motion.

People needed:

  1. One microtask for each of steps above, or a DPV for all of them

Analysis:

  1. An ultimaker style xy drive is needed for faster print speed.
