Tension

People always. compare the OSE "D3D" Printer to the Prusa.

But there's not a good way to make this distinction. People's eyes glaze over a bit when you start explaining the feature by feature breakdown comparison.

What we need is an organizing principle to dramatize these differences.

To do, we should take a leaf of strategy from "22 Immutable Laws of Marketing" and succincntly highlight the differences between us and the Prusa.

Background

"22 Immutable Laws of Marketing."

  • Relevant Principle 1: First in the mind.
  • Relevant Principle 2: Second takes this position: the underdog. doing what the market leader in first can't. CocaCola vs. Pepsi. McDonalds vs. Burger King. Listerine vs. Scope.

Proposal

Market our 3D Printer as "the Upstart."

  • takes longer to build, more things that can go wrong
  • has better results in terms of printing quality?
  • infinitely
