Concept: in order to create the open source economy, it makes sense to work with The legal system to promote competence within a general population. To do this it is important to make all legal procedures absolutely transparent such that any literate individual can solve their own legal matters or file court proceedings to meet their needs, or defend themselves in court. Combined with automatic document generators and limited use of AI, this can make proper legal representation accessible to all.

OSD's route is to create open source ecologists who are also literate in law. This way, we can keep complete control of legal costs. This can be done by apprenticing with lawyers. OSE interests include in house legal capacity, where we train our legal team in societal transformation. Because as Justice Wendell Holmes chided, "We are in a quart of law, not a court of justice".
