Production Rate
- Cutting rate of a 14" blade, 6x lumber max
- Rip speed is 17.6 feet per minute for hardwood assuming 0.002" per tooth. [1]. This I assume is for 2x lumber. So take 1/2 of that for 4x, and get 8 feet per minute.
- Assume 2 cuts per board once started. So 2 minutes per board. In an hour, can you really get 30 sticks of hardwood 2x4? That would be great. Moving time probably eats up the time, otherwise, cutting speed is good, even on table-saw level cutters. Assume 50% production rate - 8 hour day gives 120 sticks of 2x4s. Or 300 board feet about. - Chainsaw motor - 2000 hours - [3]
- Treadmill motor - this one says 30 years at 3000 hours per year - [4]. Otherwise, 10 years. [5]
