A Network Attached Storage unit that uses a Raspberry Pi as the computer
Can have an OTS or custom (often 3D Printed ) Enclosure
Typically uses USB External Hard Drives , although SATA / NVME drives can be used, especially with more recent Raspberry Pi's
Another interesting advantage over other Open Source Network Attached Storage Unit options is that one can upgrade the Raspberry Pi when a new version is released, and use the "old" one for another project; PC Hardware or Server Rack type stuff is far less adaptable to other projects

  - TMEZON 100V - 240V to DC 12V 5A Switching Power Supply (~10 USD)
  - Mentioned amperage depends on (number of) drives used, and if [[PC Cooling Fans] are used as well

- Clickbait title aside it was a good relatable read:
