  • Pivot to immediate industrial productivity on a small scale, also relevant to the OSE Incentive Challenge on cordless drill
  • Shredder + filament maker is the topic
  • For low cost equipment, only vitamins are provided.
  • DIY bearings and geardown is included to keep costs low.
  • This is not 'educational only' - but experimental with clear path to scaling. Includes demos of the larger scale.
  • Design sessions are included every day for 1 hour session for practice.
  • 8 core OSE lessons for collab literacy
  • Basic Arduino power supply, up to amperage of wall outlet (15A standard) is provided. Note that these don't pop with induction motor surge. Applied to Arduino and control of shredder motor, and control of extruder motor.
  • Extruder uses the same motor - to keep costs down.
  • CNC Torch is an enabling tool for blades
  • Simplified D3D Universal is still key; adds small heater.
  • More homebrew and longer term - 9 days with 5 days of project. Then finishing + Q&A + new content on design: CNC Torch; Tractor; Power Cubes; Seed Eco-Home coverage.

Summary

  • FreeCAD
  • Arduinos and programming, including parametric of OpenSCAD
  • KiCad for circuit design
