Talk:D3D Future Work

From Open Source Ecology

I'm not adding this to the main version of the page without checking with everyone first, but i think we should also make the following devices from the Open Source Digital Fabrication Construction Set :

- D3D Fiberglass Printer

- D3D Ceramic Printer

- D3D Glass Printer

- D3D Cement Printer

- D3D Metal Printer

- D3D 3 Axis CNC Mill

- D3D Laser Cutter

- D3D Waterjet Cutter

They mainly reuse all the same parts as the D3D Printer, just with different tool heads, and some other changes on some. I'd say the waterjet cutter and the laser cutter would be the easiest, so do those first. Then we could move on the the 3 axis cnc mill. Then the ceramic and cement 3D printers. Then the fiberglass/composite material 3D printer. Then finally the FDM metal and glass 3d printers. Those last two are more difficult, and a bit unconventional, but I think they would have use cases. Also no prssure, this is just an idea of mine. Please tell me what you think.
