Talk:Open Source PDL to GCode Conversion Software

The author says that you're not sure if there is PDL to Gcode converting software. You wouldn't have a PDL file. You'd have an SVG file, or one of the many types of PDL files. But overwhelmingly people work with SVGs. And we already document how to work with SVG files. The only other file I could see somebody wanting to use with a plotter is PDF. But imho, anyone doing that is just going to convert the PDF to SVG.
