Yeah romex is just about the bare minimum, then you got if it's a damp/wet location, max temp, if it needs chemical resistance and whatnot but yeah these reference sheets and whatnot are the way to go. Interesting bit, one of the higher end ones, i forget the name but it was basically FMC COATED in the UHMWPE or whatever the "higher end" of coatings was. You could essentially have boiling acid drip on it and it would just take it, wild stuff.

(Sidenote there was a bill to make the NEC or codes in general free somewhere, hope i'm not too late to fill in that petition and whatnot. It really is wild though, especially given ALL of the OSHA stuff is up for free and easily searchable, no reason NEC/NFPA stuff should be behind a paywall. Granted with stack exchange type things and websites like this you can usually get most of what you need to know in theory / quotations from the book)
