Static is EASILY 3D Print - Able

Main thing to look for in something you would buy is a VERY smooth + stable pan and tilt etc

For all the fancy pans and tils you don't want it getting stuck then jumping a few degrees etc

Also Quick Release Plates are your friend (may be something for me to dig and see if there are OS options for them:

Manfrotto makes some crazy video heads, and a great "mini tripod".

For static photo/lighting/video just do some pvc + 3dp adapters, or diy metal setup
