Script

  1. Cut 16' long members to 16' exactly.
  2. Mark location of purlins 4' on center
  1. Cut 4 purlins and 2 end caps for roof frame - fitted between long 16' members so that the panel is 3' wide. Note that we are not using plywood here.
  2. Screw 2 long members and 2 end caps together using [3] 3" screws
  3. Screw in purlins at marked locations
  4. Invert on sawhorses and staple tyvek base layer upon which insulation will sit
  5. Re-invert to right-side-up and insert insulation
  6. Cover the top of panel with Tyvek as a moisture barrier under metal roofing. Note: do not install metal roofing - it is not possible to line up the seams this way, so roof metal goes on last.
