I have been a hands-on designer/builder/general contractor for over 35 years specializing in green/natural building. I have had my hand in building 10 fully permitted straw clay houses in Northern Michigan; I live in one of them. I trained at the Jordan Energy Institute,, International Institute for Baubiologie (building biology) & Ecology, the EcoNest Building Company & became a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional in '06. I helped to pioneer the current harvest & use of the "non-native/invasive" black locust tree in our area. I am now in training to become a heater mason certified by the Masonry Heater Association of North America. I currently own & operate Bungalow Builders of Northern Michigan, Inc.
