My name is Isaac Essah, born in 8th February 1988 in Suhum, in the Eastern Region of Ghana. I am single and have no child. I am working as UI designer and farmer.

I spent my childhood days with parents in a small village called Ateibu. My father is a farmer and building constructor popularly known as mason around here, and mother is a trader and also farmer. I grew up with parents in Ateibu together with 3 siblings, I am the first born son and always helped on the family farm. While in primary school in this he village, I always get the compliments from teachers that I am good so I should ask my parents to send me to the nearest town to continue my education there and I did but my parents didn't mind me.

In 1999, I was in primary 5 when a new teacher was transferred from the town(Suhum) to the village to teach, he happened to be my class teacher, he was an Agric officer to serve his national service. First term passed and it was just about the end of second term, and my class teacher asked me to bring my parents. I talked to my parents but only my mother came with me to see the teacher.

After school my parents told me my class teacher wants me to move to the town to stay with his parents. His father is a retired Junior high school head master and a farmer and the mother was business woman managing her own provision store.

My father was ok, but my mother didn't want me to go and stay with another family because she was afraid I would be treated badly.

I didn't say anything and waited until holidays was over and when school resumed on the third term, I went to my class teacher and told him, I would like to move to stay with his parents in the town to continue my education. I served his parents and worked on their family farm for 4 years until I completed Junior high school.

After JHS, I took decisions into my own hands to cater for myself, so I can save for my Senior high. I started my own farm growing vegetables(Pepper, garden eggs, green pepper, carrots etc and at the same time helping parents on the family farm.
