I study how open hardware initiatives help to democratize science and technology. As part of my commitment to open science I document it openly and try to demonstrate how an open approach & open science tools can be implemented in Social Sciences research.
Beyond my academic activity I'm part of LogAir, where we develop low-cost mobile air quality sensors for crowd-mapping air pollution, engaging communities and providing governmental offices with real-time data for better, evidence-based decision making processes. We got support from G'Innove, the Geneva city innovation program to develop our pilot.
I actively contribute to Mozilla community and the Global Open Science Hardware community, which I find key for supporting and amplifying my work.
