I am a software developer and hardware tinkerer based in Ithaca, NY. I've been developing software systems for the past decade (most of that time as an independent contractor) and have more recently focused on hardware design and embedded systems development. In addition to software tools, I enjoy building machines for DIY fabrication and open source electronics that are easily sourced and repaired. I’m also interested in self-sufficiency and sustainability through gardening/farming and solar energy harvesting and storage.
I came across the OSE dev Slack channel and talked for a bit with Lex and Abe. They suggested I request a wiki account here and gave me an overview of various things going on with OSE. I spend a fair bit of my personal time tinkering on projects in this space but have thus far done it mostly by myself. I'd love to see if any of my skills or efforts could help benefit OSE endeavors and collaborate with other like-minded developers.
