I am an interior designer born and raised in Imphal, Manipur from the North Eastern India. For the past 5 years I have have been working in design firms designing Offices, residence, Hospital and Hotels in cities like Delhi and Mumbai. But after Learning the impact of climate change and foreseeing the risk we have put ourselves in. I want to be part of the change, starting from my own village where there is no proper water supply no regular electricity and no proper infrastructure of communication and transport. My people need to be self sustained before the industries burn us down, people need to understand the potential on our local resources. I am introducing cob house, rammed earth structures, adobe bricks, bamboo structures, rocket stoves, innovative farming tools, ram pump, river pump, rain water harvesting and water storage. The basic needs which we lack far behind moreover all these techniques and tools are still new and foreign to us. My ambition is to bring a green eco-friendly change right from the the forgotten part of the world and let it grown to the towns and cities spreading the fresh clean air and reviving our mother earth once again.
