How to build a Strawbale House

  • Nikolay will speak with Katharina from Gaia University on February 2 on how we can help her to share the knowledge.
  • Find more people with strawbale construction knowledge and see if they would like to share it and build a team.
  • Help us:
    • If you are planning to build a strawbale house soon use this opportunity to learn more and share it with everyone.
    • If you already built a strawbale house, you can share valuable insights.
    • If you have experience with construction buildings (houses, workshops) lets examine how we can share the most important knowledge to everyone.
      • Join the Strawbale Advisors Team.
    • We need documentors and media designers.
      • Join the Strawbale Documentation Team
  • Sharing together:
    • Nikolay will get in touch with Cohabitat Group as they are open sourcing a strawbale house too. Check how to make it Europe-wide replicable.
    • Nikolay will speak with a construction student to understand better the construction process and what can be shared (January 30).

Building machines

  • How can we build legally machines ourselves in Germany?
    • Help us:
      • If you have knowledge about legal requirements for building machines, please contact us.
      • Independent of the machine, two cases are considered: building them ourselves, selling a machine.
      • Possible Machines to explore: Power Cube, CEB Press, Tractor, Soil pulverizer

Please contact Diego if you want to help in the fabrication of GVCS machines.

We have set up a poll in the OSE Europe forum where you can set your preferences about which machine would be best to start with.

Once we have more info in the poll, next step would be to calculate for one machine all the material and labour costs to estimate a real price target in Germany.

Fundraising

  • looking for people to help us fundraise money to complete the projects we are working on.
  • or organization who would like to support it.
