11/11 - 11/14/2012

After 2 days of Power cube production run fun, de-rusted the housing for the pressure tank using a wire brush on 11/13. Chuck has shipped the welder from Seattle and it is on its way to FeF - should get here in time for next week's CEB Production Run.

10/28 - 11/3/2012

Scheduled meetings between Marcin and Undercurrent, Milgo Bufkin and 3rd Ward in NYC for Nov 18/19; made travel arrangements for the same.

Searching for used Millermatic 200 welders in good condition. FeF currently has two of these and two more would greatly help with efficiency in future Production Runs. After many leads and missed opportunities, Chuck Harrison helped us score one finally in Seattle. The Wikispeed team helped us validate it is functional and the welder is now in their workshop in Lynnwood, WA, waiting to be shipped to FeF. Thanks for the timely help Chuck and Wikispeed!

10/22 - 10/26/2012

Working on Marcin's Presentation for Bioneers. Libre Impress seems to have issues with playing some of the embedded videos, so have to reconcile ourselves to using MS Powerpoint. Final presentation up on Bioneers Script page.

Conference call with Thor Bailey about the Biogas electric project. This Saturday, Thor is going to discuss FeF needs and project specs with Leon Breckenridge -who has many years of relevant experience- about serving as the technical advisor, and put together a project proposal for OSE review. Was introduced to Ron Toppi of GRUB Chico (who wants to collaborate in building a digester to produce cooking gas for their 18 people/40 acre farm). Sent him links to our website and Recruiting Announcement for Machine Designer and Master Prototyper.

To do in the short term: make OSE contact info easily accessible to True Fans and fix broken links on the wiki!

Starting to log my activities, on being gently nudged by Marcin :)

Posted Hablab workday announcements on FeF Google groups and the OSE Announce mailing list. (Hope we get volunteers!) Rather drained from all the time spent on the phone with ISP Customer Care. First, nearly 45 minutes to resolve billing mess-up; bill duly brought down, so, success there! And then another 30 minutes trying to convince their internet troubleshooting department that the root cause of our issues was the modem; in vain - they wouldn't send us a new modem until we retried the connection after swapping out the DSL cord. So, waiting on someone at the farm to try that when they have a spot of time and report findings. This is my 7th call to them in the last 6 weeks and I see yet another 45 minute call to the Internet troubleshooting line in my immediate future. Such fun. Can't wait.
