Welcome to the OSE project, Sum. Er, maybe that should be Mr. Dood? or just SD? Do let us know.  :)

You are coming on board at a really great time. Many of the GVCS projects are just getting kicked off now. Why don't you have a look around and see what you'd like to work on? For starters, have a look at the Solenoid Design. There's not much there, but OSE could really use a solenoid that we can build from scratch. For example see Electric Valves for Steam Engine. Then there is the [[Open Source Stepper Motor Controller Controller]. One or two people have already contributed (myself included), but your background could be useful there, too. There will be lots of machines that will require Arduino controllers, so having knowledge of that architecture will be real handy.

Anyway, the key thing is to dive right in. Don't be shy or assume that people know more than you do. Some do, most don't. For me, learning new things is all part of the fun of working on OSE projects. If I can be of help you do, please let me know. Mjn 17:25, 28 May 2011 (PDT)
